Qatar Building Company

Qatar Building Company (QBC) is a civil engineering company based in Doha, the capital city of Qatar. It is a privately owned "Grade A" firm of civil engineering, materials production and heavy equipment trading which serves government entities, international contractors and private developers.
Lusail City, Salata Corniche Park and Msheireb Downtown are among the civil construction projects it has been contracted to develop. ==History==
Qatar Building Company (QBC) was founded as contractor in 1971 by Mohamed Tayyeb H.B. Since the company's establishment, it has been involved in various infrastructure projects, including special construction, buildings, pipeline and tanks, drainage networks, water networks and reservoirs, earthworks, road/highway/airfield pavement, related traffic safety works, micro-tunneling, power cable projects and horizontal directional drilling. QBC has also developed some of Qatar's largest infrastructure projects including development of Airport Road, the Doha Expressway/D-Ring Interchange, the New Doha International Airport, Energy City, Cultural City (Katara), Education City (Qatar Foundation) and Lusail City. Maintaining its main offices in Doha, Qatar, QBC maintains “Grade A” classifications in each contracting category of the Qatar Central Tenders Committee (CTC).
As of 2013, QBC has close to 5,000 employees.
